The Credit Risk team is primarily focused on making recommendations to the business and managing risk strategy through a balanced risk/reward approach and managing our customer experience while building strong partnerships across the organizations with our control partners. Responsible for, but not limited to, development, monitoring, and management of acquisition and account underwriting criteria and exposure management; adherence to enterprise policies, procedures and processes; oversight of fraud and collections strategy and operations; cards loss forecasting and portfolio monitoring; and merchant solutions underwriting and monitoring.

Job Description:

The High Risk Account Manager – Credit Risk Management, is responsible for managing the creation, implementation and validation of various risk segmentation strategies including, but not limited to: adjudication, account management, exposure management, risk segmentation, and financial return optimization. This job provides critical information, interpretative, and detailed analysis, and deploys critical credit risk rational strategies that ensure the decisions are made within the TD risk appetite and adhere to all governmental requirements and guidelines. The Risk Manager’s primary accountability is providing a comprehensive and diverse range of risk management expertise. The Risk Manager investigates, creates, implements and validates various risk segmentation strategies and policies using complex data, advanced analytical approach, and business intelligence tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

•\tAbility to independently use SAS/SQL in order to analyze credit card application and/or account management performance

•\tAbility to perform logistic regression, CHAID, and/or design decision trees in order to develop credit risk strategies

•\tKnowledge of credit card regulations and banking compliance related to strategy development

•\tKnowledge of high risk account management strategies; e.g., Credit Line Decrease, Account Closure, Payment Hold, Authorization Review

•\tAbility to communicate strategies to management and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

•\tBachelor’s degree required; Graduate degree preferred

•\t5+ years’ experience required

•\tProficient PC skills including a strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and a variety of PC-based analytical and reporting software packages

•\tExperience with the use of Relational Databases and the process of Extract Transform Load (ETL) using common languages such as SQL or SAS

•\tFamiliar with various analytical or reporting tools, such as SAS, R, Matlab Tableau, etc.

•\tStrong analytical and problem solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions

•\tExperience in data modeling and risk management either from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background

•\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills

•\tExperienced in developing and presenting recommendations to Senior Management.

•\tHigh Risk Account Management experience

•\tKnowledge of Credit Card Risk Strategy Design

•\tAcquisition Strategy experience

•\tExperience with Decision Tree Software
