The person hired for the position of will be responsible for leading the manufacturing operations of a three-shift team in our Converting department and continual improvement in Safety, Quality, Service & Cost. Supervise and manage all functions involved in the production of 3M products in a safe and economic fashion. Responsible for direct supervision, training, safety performance, product quality, cost control, employee communications, employee morale, continuous improvement and productivity in our Fabrication Department.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
+ Responsible for supervising and directing activities and personnel to achieve an efficient production operation with focus on safety, quality, service, cost and efficiencies
+ Responsible to oversee foam fabrication and converting process for multiple shifts
+ Cultivate and lead team environment for employees by encouraging and implementing cross training programs, cooperation, innovation, flexibility and teamwork
+ Regulate and control cost through planning, implementing Just-In-Time concepts and/or cost reduction methodologies and efficient utilization of labor, materials, and equipment
+ Responsible for departmental budgeting and forecasting
+ Promote cooperation and teamwork through facilitation, coaching and training
+ Review and prioritizes production orders/departmental schedule of fabrication and converting processes
+ Drive implementation and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing elements
+ Investigate root cause and corrective actions for customer incidents
+ Responsible for the development of team
+ Promote, interpret and enforce broad knowledge of corporate and plant policies and procedures
+ Responsible for coordination and implementation of administrative services including time reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, and overtime
+ Utilize corrective action to resolve conflict and inappropriate behaviors
+ Evaluate and incorporate new technologies into converting process for continual improvement in Safety, Quality, Service and Cost
+ Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
+ Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment
+ Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment
+ SAP Experience
+ Lean Six Sigma Experience.
+ Experience with converting technologies and manufacturing equipment.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
