Role Value Proposition:
As a Director of Actuarial Services, you will be responsible for the testing of models developed by MetLife’s Global Actuarial Modeling Team (GAM). These models span different lines of business, both domestic and international. MetLife has business in the US, EMEA and Asia regions. The models developed are both asset and liability models, and are used for different reporting basis such as Cash Flow Testing, Embedded Value, Solvency II, IFRS, GAAP and local stat. The value GAM QA adds is to review, test and document models developed by GAM to ensure they are working as intended and are actuarially sound.
+ Support testing of any GAM model developments which are important for core reporting, including those from the US and Asia (ex Japan).
+ Support Model Testing for the implementation of IFRS and GAAP TI.
+ Work with Model Risk Management on the tracking the resolution of model validation findings.
+ Explore the use of other tools such as Python and Big Data analytics tools for the purpose of analyzing of data reasonableness and accuracy.
+ Possibility to manage.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
+ 5 to 10 years of actuarial experience.
+ FSA , near FSA or career ASA.
+ Bachelor’s Degree.
+ Actuarial Modeling Experience.
+ Familiarity with Prophet and Pathwise.
+ Experience with Python, R , VBA and PowerBI.
+ Experience with Embedded Value, Cash Flow Testing, Statutory or GAAP reporting.
+ Testing and/or audit experience.
+ Additional programming languages are a plus.
