For Central Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux) we are currently seeking for a

Business Development Representative (m/w/d)

As a Business Development Representative you progress commercially the Abrasive System Division (ASD) belt business in terms of significant market penetration and volume growth at least targeting a double-digit range for Central Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux). Your carry out sales targets through independent sales service of the defined market segment in the Central Europe Region.

Your contribution to our success:

+ In your role you develop strategies and tactics to identify, analyze, develop and implement successfully new business opportunities within ASD belt business.

+ You advice the sales team and create “unique selling points” based on your in-depth market and /-competitor analyses and understanding and demonstrate the use of products and train internal and external clients in this area.

+ You represent the 3M belt business to the outside world – pitch the value proposition at client meetings, international conferences, industry events, local meetups.

+ Interacting with groups and / or organizational management to identify target audiences and participating in creating a communication plan that conveys the brand promise to target groups and builds customer loyalty.

+ You analyze competitive activity on the market of abrasive belts, pricing of abrasive products using available tools, development of clients and projects. You report the full acquired knowledge about customers and the application in the CRM system.

This convince us:

+ You have a university degree, preferably in Business, Industrial Engineering or related fields and a minimum of 3 years of professional expertise in a work environment related to abrasives, understanding of abrasive end user needs and their decision-making process is a plus.

+ You have distinctive communication skills with ability to convey complex messages convincingly – in written, oral and presentation format. You are characterized as a person with ambition and drive.

+ Being a business partner and influencer applying entrepreneurial thinking, analytical decision making and effectively engaging stakeholders is how you drive success.

+ You are effectively combining strategic thinking, deep analytical skills and a “hands-on” and “can do”-mentality.

+ You are strong in leveraging IT and databases and the creation of compelling business case presentation and fluent in English.
