Global IT Procurement Director (Job Number: 203496W-01)


The DuPont Global IT Procurement Leader
is accountable for developing, aligning, and delivering on procurement
strategies across a vast portfolio of external IT services, resources, and
equipment required to meet the needs of our large-scale, global, growing, and
portfolio agile new DuPont company. This
leader is a member of both the DuPont Global IT Leadership Team, contributing
to DuPont IT strategies and execution overall as well as the DuPont Sourcing
Leadership Team, contributing to the DuPont Procurement strategies and
execution overall.

Job Summary

+ Lead overall accountability for global IT procurementstrategy development and execution.

+ Actively contribute to IT strategies overall as avaluable member of IT’s global leadership team

+ Engage with IT leadership to develop strategies thatdeliver agreed upon financial and operational objectives.

+ Advance the strategic value of IT procurement bycontinuously benchmarking and implementing best in class practices.

+ Drive execution of IT category management, supplier relationshipmanagement, and client partnerships for all IT categories.

+ Develop competencies that understand competitive IT landscapeand industry trends.

+ Drive process and policy simplification, governance andcompliance.

Key Responsibilities

+ Global accountability for buy strategy, execution ofthe buy, strategic market perspective competitiveness for all in scopespend.

+ Develop and lead a global team of engaged categorymanagers who are accountable for commodity groups and suppliers supportingIT.

+ Manages, develops and leads the procurement team toexecute strategic contract negotiations.

+ Responsible for sponsorship for category leaders whodevelop, execute and renew global commodity sourcing strategies thatmaximize value, leverage and savings.

+ Develops and drives robust performance metrics todemonstrate value delivered by the procurement team.

+ Champions, coaches the team and is a continuous learneron the use of standard sourcing processes, category management, engaging lowcost country suppliers, risk mitigation and supplier performance management.

+ Working with the buying team, fully evaluates theexternal market and develops strategies to mitigate risk and createcompetitive advantage versus our competition.

+ Manages all internal controls and contract-relatedaspects of the outsourced and BPO services.

+ Develops relationships with senior executives from keysuppliers and engages them in strategic supplier management for valuecreation and innovation.

+ Works with operations and functions to identify,assess, qualify and develop new suppliers needed for competition and valuedelivery.

+ Accountable for annual delivery of savings and workingcapital targets as required by the business and supply chain to achievecompetitiveness.

+ Develops organization expertise recognized as"world class" both internally and externally. Workcollaboratively with other sourcing colleagues to share best practices andprocurement process improvements.


Education background

+ Bachelor degree required, Master’s degree preferred,ideally major in business, supply management or information technology.

Experience and Attributes

The successful candidate must have:

+ Deep knowledge in strategicsourcing, category management, supplier management along with an understandingof negotiation and contracting.

+ Deep knowledge of IT procurement(hardware, software, telecommunications and services) and program managementincluding basic understanding of SAS and large IT suppliers.

+ Experience with IT strategiesdevelopment and execution

+ Experience leading global teams

+ Proficiency in procurement"should-cost" cost modelling and contract legal terms and conditions

+ Minimum of 10+ years of managerial and leadershipexperience, including at least 5 leading a global team.

+ 10+ years of information technology procurementexperience preferred

+ Commercial/business experience and expertise.

+ Strong understanding of Sourcing Process, marketanalysis and business value creation.

+ Demonstrated understanding of legal terms andconditions.

+ Project management proficiency.

+ Broad range of roles and experiences across functionsand businesses including business operations and supply chain.
