As part a member of CDM Smith’s Career Reboot Re-Entry Program you will spend 12 weeks working with peers in your career discipline on active projects. This is a paid, temporary position. You will set goals for your program and present to your team at the end of your program what you have taken away from your experience.

Reboot has three Program Cycles – when you apply please pick the cycle in which you would like to be considered:

Cycle 1: January – March

Cycle 2: May – July

Cycle 3: September – November

As part of the Civil Engineering discipline, you would contribute to CDM Smith’s mission in any of our following Civil Engineering Disciplines:

General Civil

Geotechnical

Structural

Transportation

Water Resources

Performing work involving conventional and straightforward plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment

Working on a variety of assignments, which may include, equipment design/development, test of specifications, process study, research investigations, or report preparation

Independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria Using your best judgment and knowledge of principles/techniques in making minor adaptations and modifications

Possibly supervising or coordinating the work of draftsmen, technicians and others assisting in specific assignments

Learning project management techniques and the CDM Smith management system Managing tasks on large projects or phases of small projects

Developing external client interaction and marketing skills

Minimum Qualifications:

To participate in CDM Smith’s Reboot Re-Entry program you must be on a current career break of two more years.

B.S. or M.S. in civil engineering from an accredited college or university is required.

3 years minimum years of experience since Bachelor’s degree.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
