The successful candidate will act as CFO and trusted advisor to several Co-brand Partner General Managers (GMs) and teams. This individual will be expected to formulate strategy with the Co-Brand General Managers to drive profitable growth, emphasize doing what is right for the customer, all while keeping shareholders’ interests firmly at the forefront of any decision making. The emphasis is on the candidate working as a strategic partner with the confidence to challenge the business.
This role is a hybrid of strategy, business analysis, and financial management, budgeting and planning. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, equally adept at detailed financial analysis/reporting and broad “out of the box” strategic thinking (former consulting, investment banking, or payments industry experience is a plus). This role is expected to collaborate and influence across Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Risk, Data Management, and other functions across the firm; as such, strong partnership skills are required.
+ Partner with the product GMs to formulate and drive viable business growth strategies
+ Partner with Product General Managers to set financial targets which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long term goals. Continually monitor performance against goals.
+ Provide insightful business financial information to senior leadership and coordinate financial planning and budget/forecast management functions
+ Ensure accurate, secure and timely recording and reporting of business activities, including monthly, quarterly, budgets, forecasts, and other ad-hoc financial analyses
+ Ensure that the business is operating within the parameters of the Partner contracts.
+ Develop and maintain working relationships with other businesses and functional groups to support business growth while balancing the appropriate controls.
+ Partner in the preparation of earnings materials and content to prepare executive management for quarterly earnings releases
+ Attract, retain and develop a team of best-in-class class finance professionals.
+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred, MBA or Advanced degree strongly desired
+ 8+ years in a Consumer Financial Services Company, Management Consultancy or Investment Bank
+ Previous credit card/Payments industry experience preferred
+ Creative thought leader, exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to conceptualize new ideas

+ Ability to create a clear, simple and compelling vision, develop strategy and communicates in a way that gains engagement at all levels

+ Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal; ability to tailor messaging and communicate effectively across all levels of management
+ Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required.
