Job Description

WSFS Bank is currently seeking aChief Digital Officer.The Chief Digital Officer will report to the Bank’s Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for planning, managing, directing, developing and implementing complex business initiatives within the organization related to the Bank’s Delivery Transformation initiative and related work streams. This role will oversee Delivery Transformation objectives for the Bank as defined in the strategic plan, and lead the resources and oversee the plans for related work efforts. This role will have responsibility for all program management activities and will support program leadership and the Executive sponsors by effectively managing all aspects of these programs, which includes overseeing multiple work streams and projects, and leading teams of project management professionals and indirect stakeholders.

The Chief Digital Officer will be accountable for successful planning and coordination of the execution of multiple complex, high risk and multi-dimensional infrastructure projects across the WSFS Bank enterprise related to Delivery Transformation, and will act as the primary liaison for the Bank with strategic partners and vendors, ensuring alignment of efforts with the Bank’s strategic objectives and overseeing adherence to statements of work. This role will function as a change agent for the organization by articulately the business needs and value of Delivery Transformation initiatives effectively across and up the organization to engender support and adoption for initiatives. The incumbent should communicate effectively to executive and senior management and independently produce presentations and reporting to all levels of the organization including the Board of Directors. Additionally, this will role will be responsible for the overall management of all programmatic administrative needs for Delivery Transformation initiatives, including and not restricted to managing enterprise project list, status updates, time off coverage, project assignments, resource forecasts and management, training and development plans, and portfolio budgets to ensure deliverables are met.

This position will be located at our operations center in northern Wilmington, DE, and will require intermittent travel to other locations within the Bank’s geographic footprint.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree is required, with a concentration in Business, Finance, or Management preferred

+ Minimum of 15 years of project/program and change management experience.

+ Previous financial services or banking experience is strongly preferred.

+ Project Management certification is strongly preferred.

+ Demonstrated capability to lead and execute large scale, complex, and cross-functional work efforts across multiple disciplines

+ Demonstrated expertise and passion on understanding the needs of external Customers and focused on the delivery of excellence across all channels.

+ Demonstrated ability and passion working with internal Customers to understand their barriers to delivering service excellence. Demonstrates a creative, problem-solving mindset utilizing strong analytical skills combined with a strong sense of ownership.

+ Ability to manage enterprise projects involving geographically dispersed internal and external teams.

+ Ability to manage effectively across and up the organization and influence outcomes through creating pathways to success for critical stakeholders and constituents.

+ Ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues with inputs from key stakeholders.

+ Must have excellent organizational and time management skills; must be able to prioritize workload which includes taking direction/assignments from several individuals.

+ Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as negotiation and conflict management skills.

+ Must have excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to work cooperatively, interact effectively and develop strong relationship skills both with Customers and company personnel serving as part of the project team.

+ Incumbent will be required to stand for intermittent periods of time.

+ Incumbent may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time.

+ Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers.

+ The incumbent will be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

+ The incumbent will also be required to talk, hear, see, read and write.

+ This position requires regular lifting and moving of 10-25 lbs.

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

+ Incumbent must also have the ability to count accurately and the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and record, balance and check results for accuracy.
