As a Business Insight Director (Biologics) in Wilmington, DE, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. The Business Insight Director is a highly consultative role accountable for driving end to end insights in partnership with the Brand Team responsible for commercializing Fasenra, AstraZeneca’s first Respiratory Biologic, which launched in Severe Uncontrolled Asthma in 2017.This leadership role includes managerial responsibility for a team of insight and analytic professionals spanning primary market research, advanced analytics, performance reporting and forecasting. The Brand Insight Director will report to the Senior Director of Insight and Analytics – Respiratory.
The Brand Insight Director is a key liaison with both the Brand Team and peers on the respiratory insight and analytics leadership team, which requires a strong leadership ethic in terms of strategic thinking, collaboration, communication excellence and driving results. This role will also require business partnership with multiple stakeholders beyond the respiratory team including but not limited to Market Access, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Global.
Key Responsibilities include:
+ Partner with Brand Team to develop brand strategies leveraging a range of analytics and insight from the marketplace to unlock the full commercial value of Fasenra
+ Guide the analytics and insight involved in the deployment of marketing strategies and tactics focused on Health Care Professionals, Patients and Payers
+ Develop people from both a functional skills and leadership perspective with goal of increasing the talent level *Shape and lead performance management to ensure timely, accurate diagnosis of brand health
+ Design and drive the insight plan in conjunction with the Head of Insight in order to ensure resources (dollars and people) are best leveraged to meet the true business needs
+ Actively participate and collaborate on a range of cross therapeutic area initiatives across the respiratory insight and analytics leadership team, elevating the impact of the broader team and insight and analytics function
+ Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., business, statistics, marketing)
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in analytics and insight including secondary data analytics and primary market research
+ Experience in qualitative and quantitative primary research techniques involving HCPs, patients and payers
+ At least three years of recent experience supporting brand analytics in the US market
+ Experience leading insight for a specialty product with knowledge of specialty pharmacy and buy and bill distribution and tracking
+ Experience with secondary data key to the pharmaceutical industry (IQVIA, Symphony, Prognos, EMR, etc)
+ Over five years of experience conducting range of analytics involving standard data in Pharmaceutical industry (e.g., Patient Level Data (APLD/LAAD), Xponent, NPA, DDD)
+ Strong oral and written presentation skills
+ Advanced Degree (e.g., MA, MBA)
+ Managed a group of at least 1-3 analytical staff
+ Respiratory therapeutic area experience and/or related market
