Senior Instrumentation Engineer

Serving the semiconductor, advanced chip packaging, circuitboard, electronic and industrial finishing, photovoltaic, display, and digitaland flexographic printing industries.

Job Description:

The purpose of this job is to provide process instrumentation
technical knowledge and advanced data analysis for the E&I Businesses. A Senior Instrumentation Engineering is a
member of a global leveraged engineering science team that is made up of
engineers from several different engineering disciplines. The Senior Instrumentation
engineer leads the development and implementation of appropriate instrumentation
strategies to drive the E&I organization towards advanced process control
and automation. This individual would be expected to have some level of
manufacturing experience along with understanding the need for inline process
measurements. The Instrument Engineering
SME will be an active member on both capital project and continuous improvement
teams focused on delivering process instrumentation and control systems that
will contribute to safe, efficient, and reliable process design to meet
business growth initiatives. The Senior Instrumentation Engineer will
have a critical role in supporting product by process. Their role will be to leverage technical
know-how, develop/implement best practices, and provide technical coaching,
consulting and support.


Provide technical
support in selecting and implementing the appropriate instrument technology

After implementation
of new instrumentation, complete analysis of the in-process data and work
closely with the A&PC engineers to develop the appropriate process control

Serve as an
instrument Subject Matter Expert (SME) on providing timely technical reviews
and inputs of complex designs on capital projects or in support of continuous improvement

Identify and develop
instrument technology, work process enhancements and develop/implement overall
instrument strategy for E&I.

Leverage best
practices across business facilities and teams.

Support Process
Engineers and Manufacturing Representatives on reviewing and validating
instrument process data.

Ensure that the
instrument scope is well defined and meets the business needs in a cost-effective

Work effectively and
efficiently with Design Engineering, Process Automation, Project Management and
other stakeholders in the execution of projects.

Travel requirements
of 30% of time are expected. Additional travel may be required depending
on assignments and opportunities.



+ 3+ years ofexperience with inline instrumentation and data analysis

+ 3+ years ofmanufacturing experience

+ Bachelors of Sciencein Engineering or advanced degree in Analytical Chemistry

+ Preference would be a Chemical Engineer with a ProcessControl Background

+ Understanding of thefunction of many types of instruments/sensors/online analytic equipment inprocess plants

+ Strong initiative andteam leadership capabilities

+ Strong data analysisskills

+ Strong interpersonalrelationship and time-management skills

+ Strong written andoral communication skills

+ Experience workingwith batch and continuous operations processes

+ Six SigmaCertification (Green or Black)

+ Due to U.S. exportcontrol regulations, only U.S. citizens and Green Card holders can beconsidered for this position.
