Barclays Bank Delaware seeks a VP, Deal Governance & Investment Decision for its Wilmington, DE location.
Duties: Maintain and enhance governance framework to support the Deal Approval Process that satisfies the requirements of regulatory and management stakeholders. Advise Business Development and Corporate Development teams of required return hurdles and participate in the development of proposed deal structures. Act as the key point of contact for all deals within Finance and coordinate with key members of the Finance, Accounting and Treasury teams to collect input and feedback on deals. Participate in developing and reviewing business cases for new and renewed deals. Review deal proposals’ contractual language to insure that proposed terms are within guidelines set through the Deal Approval Process. Maintain and distribute bank-wide assumptions file for use across several key investment decision verticals. Lead governance and control initiatives for broader BP&A team.
Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or closely related field followed by 4 years of experience in the position offered or in a closely related Finance, Treasury, Portfolio Management, or Market Risk position, in credit/finance industry. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in specified fields and 7 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in a position specified above. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. Must have project management experience and the following skills: Performing cash-flow analysis and valuation of investments to review deal proposals with Finance leaders in advance of each Deal Approval meeting; Preparing and presenting business review materials to participate in the development and presentation of Deal Proposals; Utilizing knowledge of market strategies & portfolio return management to participate in the development of proposed deal structures; and Utilizing Advanced MS Excel and Powerpoint to facilitate maintenance and distribution of bank-wide assumptions file for use across several key investment decision verticals. 40 hrs/wk.
