Job Description

Our Truck Driver Professionals are expected to be flexible and experienced enough to handle any variety of trucks across all of our lines of business. This includes the operation of Box Trucks, Front, Side, or Rear-loading Trash trucks, Lp Bobtail Trucks or Fuel Delivery Trucks. Our Professionals are compliant with all federal and state regulations at all times of vehicle operation and operate as a TEAM!

To be a successful part of the Peninsula Truck Driving Professional Team you must exhibit the following experience, knowledge and characteristics:

+ Perform complete pre and post operation inspection in accordance with company policies to ensure vehicle is in proper working order. Report any safety issues immediately, even if mid-route.

+ Able to safely operate vehicles along a designated route and to the disposal site(s) if necessary.

+ Continuously interact with all customers, dispatcher and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely, and professional manner.

+ Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time.

+ Maintain and follow productivity standards for service lines to ensure all customers are cared for in a timely and efficient manner.

+ Follow all safety policies and procedures.

+ Experience interacting with customers and public interaction by effective communication skills.

+ Possess a mechanical aptitude.

Peninsula Truck Professionals have a physically strenuous and demanding job. They will be lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects. Our drivers are required to work in all weather conditions, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and extreme cold. Our Professionals are expected to be able to work independently and are expected to maintain a schedule of deliveries, collections, and disposals.

We expect our Truck Driving Professionals to bring the following experience to the table at time of application:

+ CDL-B Hazmat & Tanker Endorsements Required as a condition of hire

+ Demonstrated record of safety

+ Understanding of CDL and Route record-keeping
